I had a lady come up to my table and she stared at the different names of the soaps, never picking them up and smelling them, which was very unusual. She looked up and said "thank you for what you do" as tears welled up in her eyes. I knew immediately she had a family member in addiction, a heartache moms know.
Being Kind is Better than being Right

So even though I am not a strong proponent of the mask, I am a strong proponent of being kind. As we were discussing the mask issue this past Sunday, one of our pastors said " It is better to be kind than to be right"

But yet, the older I get the more I realize that I don't have control over much of anything. Yes, I make plans to do this or that, but so often events interject into my day that sabotage my plans, leaving me feeling defeated.

Technology has become just as much of an addiction as drugs. And though we should be able to connect more with others using technology, instead we are more lonely and disconnected.
